Subject goals and competencies:


Course Objectives (Competences): The course includes the theoretical and practical aspects of software project management. There are In order to develop knowledge of the theoretical aspects of project management and software development, and Also practical knowledge of the skills needed as planning, organizing, Implementation and assessment of a project. Upon successful completion of this subject, the student will be able to: · Demonstrate the advanced application of ICT project management · Explain current research trends and problems in managing projects - to formulate, perform and revise project plan (to recognize resources, important moments and risks) - to solve the problems of managing and motivating people - to use advanced techniques and tools for project planning and control - to implement quality control tools during project development - to recognize and evaluate methods and standards

Course content: - Life cycle of software - Planning and allocation - EXPRESSING PHASE, - important moments, - pert, - Gantograms, - WBS - work packs; - allocation of limited time and resources - Supervision of the Project (Planning the Goals, the Area, the Resources, the Assessment of project, tools, techniques) - Communication (writing and correcting reports, presentations, team communication, resolution of conflicts) - management, management and motivation - Quality management - software measures - Process Improvement (SEI CMM Model, Spice) - Risk management and changes - tools and methods
