Subject goals and competencies:


After completing the course, the student is expected to have knowledge in the field of managing basic operational components, processes, equipment, data, human resources and external contacts to ensure efficient operation of the Internet infrastructure under his management.

Subject content:


Need and tasks of infrastructure management. Standard architecture for management (IT Management Architecture). Management of Internet network infrastructure, system infrastructure, storage infrastructure. Relationships of categories and mutual influences. Programmatic control of quality of service. Use of standard management protocols, higher level organization practices, ITIL, resource sharing. Performance Management: Latency and Capacity. Software for managing and controlling networks and network devices. Security and management. Access control mechanisms. Infrastructure management tools.

Предавања поддржани со презентации преку слајдови, интерактивни предавања, вежби (користење на опрема и софтверски пакети), тимска работа, пример случаи, поканети гости предавачи, самостојна изработка и одбрана на проектна задача и семинарска работа, учење во електронско опкружување (форуми, консултации).
