Subject goals and competencies:


By completing the content of the course, the student will acquire knowledge on performing end-to-end penetration testing of network systems, application of the acquired knowledge, tools and principles for discovering and exploiting the vulnerabilities of given target organizations.

Subject content:


Professional implementation of penetration testing. Building infrastructure for penetration testing. Creating efficient test scenarios and game rules. Detailed monitoring of events using appropriate tools. Generating test reports. SOC. Deep scan. Tcpdump for testing. Using Nmap. Scanning for vulnerabilities. False positive reduction. Package manipulation. Enumeration of users. Testing, monitoring services during scanning. Different types of payload delivery. Exploitation of vulnerabilities. Compromise of target machines in client-server mode, server-side vulnerabilities and escalations. Metasploit and Metapreter. DoS penetration testing. Penetration testing of routers and switches. Firewall penetration testing. Penetration testing of web applications and e-mail. IDS Penetration Testing.
