Subject goals and competencies:


Getting to know the concepts of open data, related data and knowledge graphs. Knowing the characteristics of knowledge graphs, their format, mechanisms for constructing their own and consuming existing knowledge graphs, strategies for publishing them in an open (public) or private context. Editing students to identify and use appropriate licenses for open data. Getting to know the challenges and best practices for managing, visualizing and business innovation with open or private knowledge graphs.

Subject content:


Introduction to the concepts of open data, related data and knowledge graphs. Characteristics of knowledge graphs. Constructing and publishing open or private knowledge graphs. Mechanisms for detecting open knowledge graphs. Licensing and copyright in open and related data. Quality of knowledge graphs. Managing open and private knowledge graphs. Open government data. Visualization of knowledge graphs. Business innovation with open and private knowledge graphs. Challenges and risks in open data. Global Impact of Open Data.
