Subject goals and competencies:


The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the basics of research methodologies in ICT. After completing the course, candidates will have in-depth knowledge of research methodologies in ICT, will be able to conceptualize and conduct scientific research, and write a report of scientific research work.

Subject content:


Introduction to Research Methodology in ICT. Stages in research. The first phase is planning what will be researched. The second phase is research planning. Third phase – conducting the research. Basic concepts in computer science: computation, complexity, systems, information. Contemporary trends in computing – networking, connectivity, open data, linked data, data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence. Conclusion – ICT technologies
