Xessable is looking for an intern enrolled in the final year of university studies to join our team.

What will I be doing?

You will be engaged with one of the software development teams in Xessable that focuses on creating beautiful and powerful products for the hospitality industry using the latest technologies.

You will be assigned and work alongside experienced software engineers and see how software is developed, tested and released in a professional environment. You will have an opportunity to learn new technologies and apply the coding patterns and principles that you’ve learned in textbooks and classrooms to solve a real problem.

Your assigned tasks will give you the opportunity to add value to the team and contribute to the work at Xessable.

What will I learn? 

We want you to be able to jump right in and get experience with existing projects and work with experienced and fun colleagues in agile environment.

ITEM - innovative Teaching Educating in Mathematics

iTEM stands for the innovative Teaching Educating in Mathematics and is a Capacity Building Project in Higher Education funded by the Erasmus Plus Program.

The project's main objective is to improve the teaching, learning, and understanding of 1st-year Mathematics among Engineers in Europe, Israel, Kosovo, and Uzbekistan. The main tools will be employed are (a) Calculus Assisted Tools; (b) Innovative Teaching Methods; and (c) Real Life Problems that can be tackled using fundamental Mathematics taught in Calculus I and Linear Algebra I.

The iTEM consortium consists of 16 Academic Institutions as partners, where their efforts are supported by the participation of 15 Associated Partners. The consortium has received 1.000.000 Euros to implement its objectives by December 2021.

The aim of EESTEC Soft Skills Academy is to give students a kind of complementary education and teach crucial skills which can be used in everyday life.
 

 

This three day event, 40 students from across the University "Ss. Cyril and Methodius" will have the opportunity to actively participate in training, specializing in these skills.
 

 

Knowledge of soft skills enables easier communication, better time management, and improving communication and presentation skills. Using these tools separates and highlightes the individual among the competition when there is an employment and a self-presentation in new environments.
 

Within the academy, despite the several trainings, participants will learn how to write a professional CV and cover letter, which will help in obtaining the desired working position.
 

 

 

 

 

The Academy has a long tradition within EESTEC network, organized by several local committees across Europe and is valid for a successful project which is recognizable organization.

(петок) со почеток во 12:00 часот, во амфитеатарот на ФИНКИ ќе се одржи предавање на тема „The use of assistive technology and robotics in treatment of children with autism“ од вон. проф. Д-р Татајана Зорчец. Предавањето е заедничка активност на здружениот оддел за Едукација, Роботика и автоматика и Системи, човек и кибернетика (E/RA/SMC) и одделот за компјутери од македонската секција на IEEE, а е поддржано од ФИНКИ.

Abstract

Autism is a developmental disorder of variable severity that is characterized by difficulty in social interaction and communication and by restricted or repetitive patterns of thought and behavior. In this talk a general info about autism, its characteristics, etiology, prevalence and treatments will be presented. Furthermore, the use of assistive technology and robotics as tools to improve the functional capabilities of persons with autism will be shown. 

One of the robots contemporary used in interventions of children with autism is Kaspar. Kaspar is a child-sized humanoid robot designed as a social companion to improve the lives of children with autism and other communication difficulties.

By interacting and behaving in a child-like way, Kaspar helps teachers and parents support children with autism to overcome the challenges they face in socializing and communicating with others.

 

Short bio of prof. Zorcec

Tatjana Zorcec is psychologist. She holds MSc and PhD in medical sciences, specialization in clinical psychology and is employed as associate professor at the Medical Faculty in Skopje. Since 2010, she has been appointed as a National Coordinator for Autism by the Macedonia Ministry of health. She has expertise in diagnostics and treatment of children with developmental disorders, with special expertise in children with autism. She is skilled in using various psychometric instruments, assistive technology, as well as  mobile technology and robotics in the treatments. She participated in many scientific projects, and published over 100 articles in domestic and international journals. Her educational activities include teaching in the field of developmental disorders within Bachelors, Masters and Specialization programs at the Medical Faculty.
