On 14.02.2013, at 09:00, the Nokia development center at the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering was officially opened. This is the first laboratory of this kind on the Balkan peninsula, and its primary goal is educating the students of the Faculty in Microsoft and Nokia`s mobile technologies.
 
Some of the attendees on the event were: Darius Zalevski, who is responsible for Nokia`s development sector in central and eastern Europe, Vaclav Mach of Microsoft, and head of Business cooperation with government institutions and corporations in central and eastern Europe, as well as the Minister of Information Society, Ivo Ivanovski.
 
In his presentation, mr. Zalevski described the possibilities this cooperation offers, the most importand of which is the APP CAMPUS program, offering between 20,000 and 70,000 euros for start-up ideas. The remaining part of the presentation was focused on: the Nokia Developer program, a portal dedicated to developing applications for Nokia mobile devices,as well as Nokia AdExchange and Marketing in a Box programs. Afterwards, mr. Mach held a presentation in which he described Nokia and Microsoft`s cooperation in detail, as well as their APP CAMPUS project,as well as the support Microsoft Windows PhoneDev Center offers for the development of mobile applications.
